Made from 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot grapes. After separate vinification and later blending, the wine ages for about 5/6 months in barrique and for a few months in bottle. The wine has a nice ruby red colour, quite compact and concentrated. Its aroma is not particularly complex, but it is intense and pleasant, with hints of red berries (cherry, currant, raspberry, plum), some spicy notes and a slight violet florality. In the mouth the wine shows excellent freshness, quite soft and fine-grained tannins with an almost perfect balance. Fruity after-aroma and pleasant finish. It is recommended to combine with bean soup, pici with duck sauce, mixed grilled meat.
